Pet Service
Our next event celebrating the Season of Creation is our Pet Service on Saturday 3rd October at 3pm in Church:

Harvest Festival
Our Harvest Festival services will be held on Sunday 4th October to give thanks to God for his provision and to help people in need. All are welcome to join us. We will be collecting goods in support of two charities - Changing Lives which helps all those affected by domestic abuse in North Tyneside and The Bay Foodbank who provide emergency parcels to those experiencing crisis in North Tyneside.
Changing Lives are always in need of toiletries and baby wipes for the families who come to them for safe haven. Please see their webpage here for more information.
More details on items the The Bay Foodbank would appreciate can be found on their webpage here.
OWLS
The next meeting of OWLS will be on Monday 19th October, at 12 noon. As it will be the first meeting led by the ministry team we will be discussing OWLS, what it means to you, what you like to do in the meetings (and what you don't).
Please sign the sheet so we know the numbers for the food. If you can't get to church but are planning on coming please text me on 07904 639181 and I will add you to the list.
The cost is £6.50 payable on the day (cash or card).
Thanks
Emma
Parish Funding Review
In July there were presentations in church about the need to review our giving. We requested that everyone considered what they give or might give to support our mission, and asked that those with Standing Orders move to the Parish Giving Scheme. We're grateful for all of you who have responded to this.
All the details are on our website here.
This message is just a reminder in case you were too busy at the time. Please do ask for information or assistance if you have any difficulties making these changes (contact John Appleby).
St Mary's 100 Club 2026/27
The year rolls on and it is time once more to restart the 100 Club in October. Last year we raised just over £700 for church funds. Thank you to everyone who participated. It does help and is appreciated. Thanks too to Dorothy Clarke and Liz Hayes for making the monthly draw during Parish breakfast.
St Mary’s will be delighted if you will join or re join the scheme. For £25 a year you are entered into twelve monthly draws with the chance of winning £50, £30 and £20 or in December £100, £50 or £30. To save disappointment perhaps it is better to consider it a donation and enjoy the surprise if you win.
All you need to do is transfer £25 using online banking to:
St Marys 100 Club
Sort Code 20-62-09
Account No. 53160653
Alternatively, drop off a cheque made payable to St Marys 100 Club or even cash. Please post or deliver to church. (Should it be required the letter box is in the north door.) I would appreciate if existing members could send me an email or text confirming payment. If you are a new member, I will need your name and address. A contact email address or phone number would be useful too so that I can confirm receipt and deliver your winnings to your home!
With thanks,
Roger Windass

Eco Tip of the Week
Pray for the world leaders attending the present United Nations Summit. Their Climate Action discussion addressed urgent climate priorities. Delegates are called to strongly support the COP 31 agenda, when they meet in Turkey, in November. Commitments of the past should become implementations. Pray for the solutions and actions needed at this global level.
Thank Yous
From Claire Lewis:
Thank you so much for sponsoring me for the Great North Run. It was a very hot day and not an easy run but knowing it was raising money for a great cause helped keep me moving. In all I managed to raise over my £500 target for NAPI and the team there have assured me it will be well spent. Thank you
From Eileen & Ron Noble:
We were deeply touched by all the love and good wishes we received on our 60th Wedding Anniversary. Bless you all. Eileen and Ron Noble xx
