About
REGULAR GIVING TO ST MARY’S PARISH
On Sunday 12th July, Nigel, Andrew and Jane spoke about 'Giving to support our mission in the community'.
Here's the slides we used:
Here's a link to a short video of that presentation (please start the video at 1:10:10).
Here's the leaflet given to everyone who was there:
There's also a sheet explaining how to give (also repeated below):
There are copies available in Church.
How to Give?
Planned giving helps us manage Church finances, and this is easiest through your bank. We are encouraging people (both new and existing givers) to set up a Direct Debit through the ‘Parish Giving Scheme’ rather than Standing Order. For details about the Scheme (PGS) check this link: https://www.parishgiving.org.uk/home
You can set up your gift by phone
When you are ready to set up a new regular donation, you will need to have your personal bank account details, church/parish name (Monkseaton St Mary) and Parish Giving Scheme Code to hand (250625154).
Simply call 0333 002 1271, Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm. The call usually takes about 10 minutes to complete. They will then send you a confirmation of your new gift by post or email. You can also change your giving at any time – email or ring them to do this.
To set up your giving Online
To set up a regular payment to St Mary’s use the link https://www.parishgiving.org.uk/donors then click ‘Find your parish’ and enter postcode or parish name – Monkseaton St Mary. Register on ‘Regular Giving’, enter your details on the form and click “SUBMIT”
On the next page, enter the Donation amount, start date and frequency (monthly, quarterly or annual – preferably monthly). You will also need to add your bank details.
The Gift aid box should be ticked if you pay UK tax – this allows us to claim back 25% of your donation as a tax rebate. If you currently give by Standing Order please do not cancel this until the first Direct Debit contribution has gone through. (We provide a form for you to cancel your SO when you’re ready to do so, or you can ring your bank to do this.)
If you want to know more or need help please ask Nigel, John Appleby, Andrew Potter or Jane Walker.
Thank you, St Mary’s PCC
