Lent

Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, and is the period of six weeks (40 days not including Sundays) leading up to Easter. Lent is observed as a time of self reflection and growth through turning to God (Being Penitent). Our Lent course this year will consist of a series of Lent reflection services at different churches in the Deanery culminating in a joint Holy Communion in St Mary's Monkseaton o Saturday 23rd March at 11.30am followed by a shared/bring your own lunch.
