St Mary's is a Church of England church in Tynemouth Deanery in the Diocese of Newcastle.  We pride ourselves on being an inclusive church and are always seeking ways to improve our service to God and our community.  In addition to our Sunday and Midweek services, we aim to support our local community with initiatives appropriate for all ages, such as our Toddler group, Holiday Club, Craft Group and OWLs (Older, Wiser, Living Spiritually) group.  We are privileged to have an excellent adult choir and a growing junior choir known as ' Young Notes'.

Holy Communion is very important to us, as is the beginning of the journey in church, baptism (christening). It is also important to us that people find worshipping and learning about God accessible, and we provide a wide of array of alternative Sunday afternoon services.
