Eco Tip for the Week
During times of water shortage and water conservation, recycled or ‘grey’ water can be used with care in the garden. This is water from the shower, bath, kitchen and washing machine (from rinse cycles). It varies in quality, as it may contain contaminants such as soap and detergent. Soil and potting compost can filter some of these out. Recent RHS research showed watering border plants and shrubs with grey water, for several weeks, did not significantly affect the plants. However, after six weeks, some plants showed signs of salt stress, and needed a rinse through with tap water.
To minimise bacterial growth, grey water should be saved for only 24 hours, and it should not be used on edible crops, due to the risk of contamination from pathogens in the water.
Giving
Have you reviewed your regular giving recently? An increase of just £2.50 per week would make a massive difference in the face of rising costs. Click the button for more information.

Holiday Club

Volunteers for Holiday Club
This year's Holiday Club will run from Tuesday 22nd to Thursday 24th July and we have already had lots of interest. We are now on the hunt for volunteers to help with catering, welcoming and administration, and running the activities. Speak to Nigel or Claire if you are willing to help.
Thank You
Mary Cooper would like to record her thanks for the generous responses to her request for a DVD player for Martin's ward.
Parish Lunch to celebrate Claire’s Ordination
On Sunday 29th June, after the 10am service, we will be having one of our amazing Parish Lunches to celebrate Claire being ordained the day before.
There is a Food list in the vestibule, and it would be greatly appreciated if you could add your name to an item of food that you can donate towards the lunch.
Thank you
