Eco Tip of the Week - Repair Café
Help reduce your carbon footprint and save an item from landfill; help celebrate National Repair Day which was last Saturday and support a local community event! Bring an item for repair to this weekend's Repair Café; Saturday 24th October, here at St. Mary's, 10am - 2pm.

Half Term
There will be no Toddler Session on Monday 26th and no Toast Church on Thursday 29th October due to half term. Both will be back up and running the week after - week commencing 2nd November - we look forward to seeing you there.
The Parish Office will also be closed during half term and will re-open on Tuesday 3rd November. If there is anything urgent during this time please speak to John Appleby (Church Warden) or Nigel.
Pilgrimage
On 31 October, pilgrims will walk the final stage of St. Aidan’s Way – starting at Holy Saviour Tynemouth at 10am, stopping for lunch at St Peter’s Wallsend between 1-1.30pm and arriving at Newcastle Cathedral around 4pm where we will finish the pilgrimage with a Eucharist. This will be led by our very own Rev. Claire Lewis.
If you’d like to come along or have any questions, please get in touch with the Dean of Newcastle, Lee Batson at: dean@newcastlecathedral.org.uk
Hot Chocolate in Church Car Park
On 31 October at 6pm we will be offering Hot Chocolate in the Church Car Park to warm up any passing Trick or Treaters! We need volunteers to help with this, so, if you can assist, please speak to Nigel.
All Souls’ Service - 1 November
On Sunday 1st November at 4pm we will hold our annual All Souls’ Service. At this service of worship and prayer we will be holding before God the names of those who have died over the last few years.
We still need volunteers to help prepare and serve refreshments. If you can assist, please speak to Nigel.
Safeguarding Sunday: 15th November
Following the 10am service on 15th November, we will be holding a shared meal as a community committed to safety. Please sign up at the back of church and include what food you would like to contribute. Thank you.

Christmas Fair

St Mary's 100 Club Update
Thank you to the 52 who have joined this year's 100 Club. Can I tempt another 48...? For £25 a year you are entered into twelve monthly draws with the chance of winning £50, £30 and £20 or in December £100, £50 or £30. To save disappointment perhaps it is better to consider it a donation and enjoy the surprise if you win. All you need to do is transfer £25 using online banking to:
St Marys 100 Club
Sort Code 20-62-09
Account No. 53160653
Alternatively, drop off a cheque made payable to St Marys 100 Club or even cash. Please post or deliver to church. (Should it be required the letter box is in the north door.) I would appreciate if existing members could send me an email or text confirming payment. If you are a new member, I will need your name and address. A contact email address or phone number would be useful too so that I can confirm receipt and deliver your winnings to your home!
