Healing and Mental Health
Our 10.00am service of Holy Communion on Sunday 20th October will be a service of healing and wholeness. We will be focusing on mental health and have guest speakers, Alice and Anna Coombs, who are specialists in Mental Health.
During Communion there will be an opportunity for laying on of hands and anointing with oil.
Autumn Fair
This Saturday at 11.00am is our Autumn Fair.

And another nudge about the forthcoming Fare.
We need help setting up on this evening, Friday 18th (from 6pm) and clearing away on Saturday 19th (from 2.30pm).
It mainly involves putting up and then taking down banners, shifting table to and from the hall, moving chairs and generally tidying up once everyone has left and returning the church to the correct state for Sunday morning.
Grace and Tom will be organising the troops as efficiently as usual.
Usually it only takes an hour or so, so isn’t too time consuming.Tasty Grand Raffle tickets will be ready to be picked up from Sunday 8th September. 6 tickets in a book at 50peach (£3 per book) BUT only £5 if you buy 2 books!
Stubs and monies return to church. There will be a box on the raffle/fair table.

St Mary’s 100 Club 2024/25
St Mary’s will be delighted if you will now join or re join the scheme. Monies raised this time will go towards our new windows.
For £25 a year you are entered into twelve monthly draws with the chance of winning £50, £30 and £20 or in December £100, £50 or £30. To save disappointment perhaps it is better to consider it a donation and enjoy the surprise if you win.
All you need to do is transfer £25 using online banking to St Marys 100 Club, Sort Code 20-62-09 Account No. 53160653. Alternatively, drop off a cheque made payable to St Marys 100 Club or even cash. Please post or deliver either to me at 61 Brierdene Crescent, Whitley Bay, NE26 4AD or to church. (Should it be required the letter box is in the north door.)
I would appreciate if existing members could send me an email or text confirming payment. If you are a new member, I will need your name and address. A contact email address or phone number would be useful too so that I can confirm receipt and deliver your winnings to your home!
With thanks
Roger Windass
Mat 11/19
We had our first meeting in the Kittiwake on 15th October where we discussed the Christian response to Halloween. We discovered that All Hallows is part of our journey from darkness to light and that as Christians we have a message of hope and light to offer. Planning an event for All Hallows 2025 on the back of this. You are welcome to join us at our next meeting, 7.30pm on 22nd October in the Kittiwake when we will discuss a christian view of healing and health.
No such thing as a silly question.
Big Play Out and Family@Four
We like to show our church is a church of hospitality by providing cake and drinks for the families who attend. If you can donate a cake that would be wondrful. Also if you would like to help in the kitchen that would be most welcome. Please speak to Nigel or Claire if you can offer either.
