Eco Church Tip for the Week
Work towards a sustainable garden. Plant a variety of native plants that require less maintenance and water. Plant a variety of species to create a diverse and resilient ecosystem and plant to attract pollinators. Wildflower areas are ideal. Again, the struggling bees and the butterflies will appreciate it.

Parish Walk
Please note that the Parish Walk will not happen in May. Watch this space for news of our June walk.
Christian Aid Fundraising Event. Saturday 17th May 11am – 2pm.
This year Christian Aid are raising funds for the indigenous farming communities in Guatemala. They are being ravaged by the climate crisis and need specialist training on water conservation, fertilisers, and resilient crops, which will go towards helping their whole community.
At the St. Mary’s fundraiser, we will have our traditional soup lunch, quiz and baked goods stall, with the addition of a plant stall and an ‘Outdoors’ themed stall (garden, camping, sports equipment, outdoor toys, outdoor clothing etc.)
Donations for the Outdoors stall can be brought any time this coming week. Please be prepared to take home any items not sold on the day. This is a great opportunity to recycle bikes, garden equipment/furniture etc. The larger the item, the later in the week would be appreciated. Return contact details needed with the item please.
Donations for the baked goods and plant stalls, on the Friday or Saturday morning please. (No return details needed.)
Monetary donations to Christian Aid, both cash and cards, can be made on the day, or at any time by visiting our fundraising page.
We look forward to seeing you.
Justice and Peace team.
