Fiona Gould, Pianist - Recital

Fiona grew up playing piano and flute from a young age, being awarded Darlington Young Musician of the Year in 1996 and earning distinctions in grade 8 piano and ARSM.

After pursuing a career in primary teaching, she then had a break to raise her family, playing piano for her own enjoyment and with her 2 sons. She now teaches piano in schools as well as privately in evenings and at weekends.

She recently took part in a masterclass with Murray McLachlan, and went on to achieve her dipABRSM in piano teaching. Under the tuition of David Murray, Fiona is now preparing for her LRSM in piano performance.

Fiona's recital will include:

Scarlatti – Sonata in G minor K426 and Sonata in G major K427

Beethoven – Sonata in D minor Op31 No2, 1st Movement “The Tempest”

Liszt – Liebestraume nos 1, 2 & 3

Gershwin – The Man I love & I Got Rhythm

Admission to this concert is free, but there will be a retiring collection to support our Church and Concert Series. Please do still claim a ticket, as this helps us to better prepare for the concert. Light refreshments will be available from 2:30pm.
