Alison Rudd Organ Recital

Alison is organist at Alnmouth and Lesbury churches and also plays at St Mary's on her free Sundays. She studied the organ at Bath Abbey and Durham Cathedral before working in Norway as an organist. Since returning to the north east in 1990 she has worked as a peripatetic music teacher in Northumberland and North Tyneside,  teaching piano and flute. In 2017 she was awarded a bursary to study organ improvisation with Kerry Beaumont at Coventry Cathedral. She has given recitals throughout the diocese including Hexham Abbey and Newcastle Cathedral. Her programme includes music by J.S. Bach,  Böhm, John Stanley,  Franck and music from Norway and Northumbria.
