Every year, one in four of us will experience a mental health problem. But hundreds of thousands of people are still struggling.

Mind believes no one should have to face a mental health problem alone. They listen, give support and advice, and fight your corner.

Tyneside & Northumberland Mind exists to promote positive mental health, providing flexible, responsive and sustainable support services. They put people first by involving service users, carers and local community. They do all this to make it possible for people who experience mental distress to live full lives and play their full part in society. They offer a range of services based on the Recovery model where all services are focused on improving and enhancing an individual’s wellbeing, based on the principles and practices of person centred planning and self-directed support.

Their services are based on the principles of Wellbeing, Recovery, Resilience and Prevention.

Mind is one of our 2021 charities.

Nobody should face a mental health problem alone. Tyneside & Northumberland Mind need your help so they can be there - on the other end of the phone, in the community and campaigning hard for better services and support.

Whether you are experiencing mental health problems or going through a difficult time in your life, Mind can help. "Our aim is to help you live the best life you can, whatever challenges you face. We do this by offering informal one to one support, groups and counselling."

The Mind support line is continuing to operating Monday - Friday 9am until 4pm. As they have seen an increase in calls to us due to the impact of Covid 19 on mental health, this will provide a friendly voice and listening ear on the end of a phone.
